Murphy received “The Irish Academy of Letters Award” in 1972. Famine is regarded as his masterpiece. This is a first edition published by Gallery Books, Dublin, 1977 and is one of 200 limited edition copies signed by the author. Lovely hardback copy with dust jacket in protective sleeve.
